ABOUT OUR DRUM PROGRAM
Drum and percussion instruction is offered as a weekly 30 or 60 minute private lesson for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Available styles include jazz, latin, rock, metal, and more. Learn to play the beats to your favorite songs, or improve drumming technique for your band at school. Because of sound considerations at the school, lessons are given on a high-end electronic drum set as well as an acoustic set with mesh heads.  If your young one is full of energy and banging on pots and pans at home, drum lessons can be a great creative outlet! 

Beginners

Beginning students will begin studies with a snare drum, learn to hold the stick correctly,  as well as learning basic beats on the full set. They will learn different hand and foot patterns, work on rudiments, and learn about various rhythmic notation and time signatures.

Intermediate and advanced 

​These students will work from customized lesson plans to achieve short and long term goals.  They can explore different polyrhythms, advanced syncopation, as well as advanced styles such as jazz, funk, and extreme metal.  Whatever your goals are, our drum teachers are here to help you and personalize a lesson plan for you.
